Experience

Todd Sutton, owner and principle of WasteSleuth.com, has over 18 years experience in the environmental field.
Mr. Sutton specializes in waste prevention, reuse, commercial recycling, composting / organic materials management, construction and demolition debris recycling, household and commercial hazardous waste management, and environmental auditing. He has extensive experience with marketing and outreach, market development for reusable and recyclable materials, and expertise in composting education. He has developed and managed recycling information programs and services focused on waste prevention, sustainability, reuse, recycling and composting. This includes developing one of the nation’s most comprehensive online recycling and reuse information databases. He has worked on numerous waste prevention studies. He has produced standard-setting recycling guides and has experience in the development, implementation and management of award winning regional multi-media outreach campaigns for television, radio, and print.
Television
Todd Sutton, owner and principle of WasteSleuth.com, was recently an on-the-air field correspondent for the environmental TV magazine – G Word as Todd Sutton ~ Waste Sleuth.
On the show Todd Sutton ~ Waste Sleuth solves giant disposal challenges – he investigates and discovers how to recycling unusual materials - in a fun, informative and engaging fashion and helps answer the question of “how does something like that get recycled?”
He appears in 25 segments of the 40 episodes of the new show G Word – the show runs on Discovery Channels’ Planet Green TV (formerly Discovery Home). He provided significant leadership, direction and input with the development of the storylines for the 25 segments he appears in requiring extensive research, negotiations and logistics planning with shoot location owners and managers, and “real-time” shoot production management. He utilizes his public speaking skills, materials handling and management knowledge, and recycling expertise to explain complicated systems and processes in easy to understand terms.
And more recently Todd also provided expertise and technical support for and appeared on two episodes of the History Channels’ Life After People.
